Kirishima Tea

Kirishima Tea

Teas from the misty volcanic highlands of Kirishima, Kagoshima — Japan's second-largest tea region. Clean, naturally shaded, and rich in character.

From the Volcanic Highlands of Southern Japan

Kirishima sits in the mountains of Kagoshima, where the soil is shaped by centuries of volcanic activity. The altitude brings cool air and heavy fog that slow the growth of the leaves, building a fuller, richer taste.

Our teas come from a family farm that has been growing here since 1967. They were one of the first in the region to go fully organic, earning JAS certification in 2000.
